Here’s a Quick Way to Make Basic Pattern for Asymmetrical Shoes

Today I want to show you a small tip, as to double a basic model, meaning, to merge outer and inner side of patterns in one point, so you can do it on any asymmetric shoes. First you need to do is to make correct basic model of the last, on which you wish to continue to do asymmetric model. And this tested basic model to double as follows:
1) Transfer to a piece of cardboard all basic patterns lines, including outer and inner lines for lasting.
2) Draw a straight line from the nose to the point С

This is the point of intersection of the center line with a line connecting the widest points on the outer and the inner sides of the last. You can see how, in this video.
Bend the cardboard in half along this line. Mark a point F on the base pattern. This point is at the bottom of the patterns and approximately divide, it in half.

3) Connect the points C and F line on the inner side of the pattern.

4) Mark an original line of the edge strip. (Inner and outer edges)
5) Cut out line CF and stick to it a piece of cardboard .

Fold in half and cut along to the CF line, and then open it and cut the front of the pattern.
So we got a double basic pattern, ready to serve us to create asymmetric shoe models.

Good week and see you soon.
